Spirit of the Androscoggin Awarded to Austin Associates

Each year the United Way of Androscoggin County presents a local business with the Spirit of the Androscoggin Award for their ongoing dedication to our community through United Way. At the celebration gathering of the 2011 campaign Austin Associates was honored to be chosen as the 2011 recipient of this award.
Leading by example, Earl and Steve Austin promote a corporate culture of giving back to the community. Every year a group of 10 or more employees participate in the United Way Day of Caring and hold a lunch and learn during their campaign rally offering an opportunity for United Way agencies to meet staff and share information about their mission. Over the past 15 years, employees of Austin Associates (a staff of 32) have invested $185,144 in our community through the United Way. Austin Associates is very proud of this community and thanks the United Way of Androscoggin for honoring the firm with the 2011Spirit of the Androscoggin Award.

Kayla Bickford joins Austin Associates

AUBURN — Austin Associates, PA, CPAs, announces that Kayla Bickford has joined the firm, providing tax and accounting services.
Bickford is a 2010 graduate of Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. She earned her bachelor of science degree in accounting and finance and plans to become a CPA. Prior to joining Austin Associates, she had two years of experience in accounting with a small tax firm in Portland.

Lewiston - More than 440 individuals gathered at Central Maine Community College on May 22 to remember a loved one and help raise funds to support patient care at the Hospice House .
